The Innovation Centre at Raman Science Centre, Nagpur was inaugurated on February 14,2017 to provide a platform to youth of Vidarbha to engage in innovative and creative activities. The underlying idea is to promote scientific and critical thinking and problem-solving ability through hands-on activities. A laboratory equipped with an adequate set of tools and scientific instruments has been setup in the Centre.
This facility is available to the registered members of Innovation Centre who may be students, teachers, or institutions on nominal payment basis.
Main objective is to engage our youth in creative hobbies & activities in science & technology, promote their critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills, support their Idea to come to fruition, recognize, encourage and facilitate local innovations in S&T.
Facilities at Innovation Centre: Hall of Fame, Resource Centre, Innovation Laboratory, Tech Lab etc. Activities at the Innovation Hub: Tod Phod Jod, Kabad se Jugad, Idea Box. Students can convert their ideas to make their own innovative science models or Kits. Students will identify or may be given a real life problem of practical importance to work for a possible technical solution.

Anyone with a unique Innovation Idea.

• How Can You Join?
By becoming a member of the innovation centre, paying a nominal fee of Rs 1000/-.

• What Will You Get?

I. You get to experiment on, create and come out with a new product or process at no cost.
II. All costs of experimentation / instrument / components / chemicals borne by the centre.
III. Expert Guidance by Highly Qualified Mentors.
IV. Patenting of the product /process if successful on your own name.
V. Use of library, high speed internet etc. for research.
VI. Free visit to galleries and programs.
